• Nin, Anais—for her spanish last name she used the spanish pronunciation NEEN. she pronounced her french first name as ah-nah-EECE

• Shaw, George Bernard—in this case BERN-erd, not ber-NARD
• Shelley, Percy Bysshe—BISH, like wish
• Thackeray, William—THACKERY, like crackery and quackery, not Thacker-ray
• Thoreau, Henry David—THOR-oh, like four oh, not thuh-RO
• Urquhart, Sir Thomas—ERKERT
• Walpole, Horace—WALL-POOL, not WALL-POLE
